I finished Siddhartha in two days — it’s not long, just over 150 pages. His journey of self-discovery felt fantastical. After reading it, I felt like I had grasped something — and yet nothing at all.
Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out
I read through the first few reincarnations — human, donkey, bull, pig. But when it came to the dog, I lost the desire to continue. The characters’ suffering and misery were too heavy to bear.
